By a man sitting in a running patrol car questioning all of his life choices
There’s a special kind of silence that only exists at 3 AM on night shift. It’s not peaceful. It’s not relaxing. It’s… suspicious. It’s the kind of quiet that makes you think:
“Either the universe is giving me a break…or someone is about to run naked through the Walmart parking lot.”
And so, like every officer who’s ever stared into the void between calls, engine humming, MDT glowing like a cheap altar, you start thinking. Deep thoughts. Stupid thoughts. Philosophical thoughts. Thoughts that would make a therapist sigh loudly.
Welcome to Night Shift Philosophy, the mental olympics we pretend don’t happen.
